The Young Adult Ministry at St. Mary Church and St. John Vianney welcomes all adults ages 21-35, as they are met in the stages of life as college students, professionals, singles, married couples, or young families that are eager to grow in love with God whether searching, found, confused or questioning.

Looking for a new fellowship opportunity?

Consider joining the Young Adult Group.  Joining this group provides a special opportunity for young adults throughout the Diocese to gather for delicious food and fellowship with other 20-somethings.

The group meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm at St. John Vianney in the Mullen Commons. All are welcome! Bring friends! Come to build your community, network, and grow your circle with other like-minded people!

We look forward to seeing you!

Our Goals

We are working to create a home by building peer communities in all of our parishes throughout the Oakland Diocese. To this end we have five goals that guide our work:

  • Provide a leadership formation program that recruits, forms, catechizes, energizes, and equips young adult leaders to form peer communities.
  • Create Diocesan and parish environments where young adults are valued and invited.
  • Invite young adults into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Assist the diverse young adults of our Diocese in discerning their mission in the world and integrating that mission into their work, family, and community life.
  • Maximize the potential of existing and emerging technologies to reach out to young adults and connect them to one another and the Church.
